Legal Question in Environmental Law in Pennsylvania

who is at fault? original or present owner

Does an oil company, who is being sued by several homeowners for water contamination, have the right to sue the original owners, even if the problem with leaking tanks occurred years after the sale? What has to be proven?

What you are seeing is that the oil company is suing for contribution under state and federal law. Yes this is legal. yes I would hire an attorney if I am being sued in this manner.

Good Luck!!!
