my son wants to leave the home he is 17 years old what do i need to do

Re: Emancipation

Be advised that parents have an obligation to support their children until they are 18 or have completed high school.

Also your son will have a problem when it comes to making contracts until he is 18.

So unless he has some workable plan to make his way in the world moving out on his own does not seem like a wise idea.
