child abuse

what happens if i report abuse to a children. the two younger boys live with both their mom and dad, the older son, it is his mom and step-dad. where do the children go, can the older one stay with a friend until he is 16,(8 monthes from now) then chose what to do. and can the younger boys just stay with their dad. the older boy can not stay with his dad because he is having finacial problems and is liveing with his dad.

If you report abuse the county will investigate. If they feel the children should be removed from the household a court will attempt to place them if possible with a relative.
