Out of control person living with you

My,son is out of control constaly in trouble and breaking things in the house and trying to fight other family members

last time i called the police and they said he's allowed to break up my things cause he lives here i don't have the heart to throw him into the cold i just can't think that what the cops said is right how can he be allowed to do this

any info you can give me about what i can do it would be aprreciated

My first question what leads to this behavior?

If its a mental condition you could have him committed.

If its drugs or alcohol you could put him in rehab though unless he wants to clean up his act that would be a waste of time and money.

If he's is a danger to you or another family member you could file for a Protection from abuse order but that would require him to leave home.

Sorry maybe some other attorney has some better alternatives.
