Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

A Dead Beat Dad Case

My question is the father of my child is in and out of jail at least twice a month. Due to the fact that his family constintly lies for him the judge does not see him as an unfit parent. I on the other hand do. How do I get the courts to side with me and award me full custody of my daughter? He never sees her and refuses to give me a helping hand. What should I do? Should I hire a lawyer? I really cannot afford one.

If you want to terminate the father's rights you will need an attorney. It is matter that must brought before a judge. At a minimum, you should have primary physical custody and child support ordered by a court for you and your child

You do need to hire a lawyer if you want to have the father's parental rights terminated. It is a difficult process and you would want the assistance of an attorney.
