Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Divorce based on Adultery

I asked my wife for a divorce and agreed to split all our assets 50/50. I just got a letter stating she does not want a no-fault divorce but wants to take me to court charging adultery. How will this affect our assets? Will she be entitled to take everything we own because I was unfaithful?

The court is not supposed to consider fault grounds when doing an equitable distribution. However, the court may unconsciously let that enter into its calculation. I highly recommend speaking with an attorney to discuss all the aspects of your case. I offre free consultations.
