My girlfriends childs father is trying for full custody after not seeing the child since she was 3 months old, she is now 19 months old. He hasnt made an attempt to contact the mother either. Does the father have a chance?

There's always a chance. However, because the standard is best interest of the child and stability for the child is given high importance father has a very high burden to meet to gain primary custody. I would say his chances aren't great.

Does dad have an attorney? If he does and mom doesn't she needs to get one.
