Legal Seperation

What is considered legal seperation in PA. Custody and support papers have already been done and I have been living at a different residence for 8 months.

Re: Legal Seperation

There isn't such a thing in PA. You are considered separated when you cease to cohabitate, which doesn't even require moving out of the marital residence. What's important is the date of separation. That can be established by the custody papers.

You need to be separated for 2 years to get a divorce granted. Though you don't have to have been separated 2 years to use that as a grounds for divorce.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
