Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

am legally obligated to have him there

My husband and I are separated and he has ''informed'' me he went ot his lawyer. We split up because of his being mentally and sexually abusive to me. I am afraid of him!

We are expecting a baby any day now. The counselor at the hospital told me that due to the domestic violoence I do not have to have him their for delivery.

He sent me an email saying his lawyer is filing some type of motion/papers that will legally force me to have him in the delivery room.

is there any such thing that he can do or is he just trying to scare me?

Re: am legally obligated to have him there

You can get a PFA against him. That will prevent him from contacting you or even being with you in the hospital or any where else.

Because I have no idea where you are in PA. Contact the legal service organization on how you obtain one. If you can find them call the local bar association referral service the should know.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
