Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

PA Child Emanicpation Laws

I have a stepdaughter who will be 18 in 4 months, who has quit school 2 yrs ago with her father signing her out. She has been working f/t for most of that time & has not saved any money. While she herself has not committed a felony, we had to get PFA's out on abusive boyfriends, she has runaway several times, refuses to obey any of our curfews, etc. Now our lives have been threatened by her friends. Her mother lives in MD & refuses to have her there. Is there anything we can do regarding getting her emancipated or is she emancipated or can we get her out of our house to a juvenille rehabilitation ctr? or anything without her committing an actual felony? What are our rights?

Re: PA Child Emanicpation Laws

There is much information missing. However, I assume your step daughter is liviing with you. She is already emancipated and there is no need for further legal action. You might have some moral issues dealing with her concerns. However, your decision could affect her future life. There is an organization called Tough Love. I suggest you call them to assist you in your evaluation process. I belive they are located in Bucks County, but I am not sure. If you can not locate them, please provide me with your e mail address and I will see that you get there phone number.
