Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

pennsylvania divorce

My husband and I have been seperated for 4 years. A little over two years ago he filed for the divorce but then never finished paying his lawyer so the divorce was never finalized. We are not fighting over anything and we both want the divorce. We already have a child support and custody agreement in effect that we did pro se. I want to know if we can just finalize the divorce from his initial filing or if we have to start all over again and file again because it has been so long.

Re: pennsylvania divorce

You should be able to finalize the divorce based on his prior filing, and based on a 2 year separation. You will need to be able to prepare and file the necessary documents to finalize it.
