termination of parental rights

My ex adopted my children, we divorced with no custody agreement. He wants to give up parental rights, would he still have to pay child support.

He can not give up his parental rights.

He has to pay support as his parental rights can not be terminated.

A parent cannot simply decide to "give up his parental rights" and stop paying support. If that was the case, 95% of the non custodial parents out there would do that.

Remember that child support is not about the parents, its what is best for the child. And the court has held that basic support by both parents are healthy for children.
