Bad debts can stay on your credit report for 7 years after the debt was sent for collection or charged off. However, judgments can stay on your credit report for 7 years after their entry. And even if a judgment is not reported, it never ever goes away. They are good for 5 years on real property (they can be renewed) and 20 years on personal property.

No, you will not get in trouble, but you cannot own things, keep more thhan $300 in the bank, buy a house or get financing on a car. You need to get these judgments resolved one way or another. You do not tell me the amount, but it might make sense to file bankruptcy and start out fresh. The other options are to get in a debt settlement program or settle on your own. There are many bad actors out there - I can refer you to a reputable debt settlment company if you are interested in that option. If not, then get a consult with a bankruptcy attorney in your area.
