Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

My boyfriend, who doesn't live with me, and i have split up. He has things such as a large grill, golf clubs, outdoor burner, and some small things at my house. I have asked him on several occassions to come and get them and he has not done that and it has been 6 weeks. Do i have the right to sell the items? if so, how long do i have to wait for him to come and get them before i sell them, if i am allowed by law? I am not sure what law, if any this falls under.

You should send him a certified letter and tell him his 30 days retrieve the property. Tell him that if he does not pick up the property within 30 days, you will assume that he no longer wants the property and that you intend to dispose of it. You have no obligation to store his property. If he doesn't pick his stuff in 30 days, you can either sell it or throw it away. The most important thing is to give hime written notice of your intentions by Certified Mail,. return receipt requested. then he can't claim that you did this behind his back.
