Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Civil Suit

I was involved in an accident in 1998, and I didn't have insurance at the time. The person sued in small claims court, I didn't appear in court and the verdict was in favor of the plantif, and he was awarded a judgement of $10,000. As a result my liscense was suspended and will only be re-instated contigent upon me satisfiying this judgement. Do I have any recourse at this time besides having to paying $10,000 to the plantif, because I don't have that amount of money to pay.

Re: Civil Suit

You have a couple of options. Bankruptcy is one as well as an installment agreement. I suggest you contact an attorney to see if there are others. I offer free consultations.
