Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

credit debt of ex-fiance' on my credit card

While with my finace' I transferred his debt to a zero interest credit card so he could quickly pay off the debt prior to our wedding. The union dissolved, yet his debt of $10,000 remains on a credit card in my name. We drafted and singed an agreement wherein he was to pay $600 a month until the debt was paid. Two years later the debt still remains on my credit card. He is only making the minimum payment. What are my legal rights for obtaining payment from him? What steps must I follow to collect these monies?

It appears that you will have to file suit to enforce the agrement your fiance' signed. If the remaining balance is still $10,000, the suit would have to be in Common Pleas court, and your case would be heard by a panel of arbitrators. If you are successful, he would be responsible for your court costs (filing fees), but any attorneys' fees would be your responsibility. Under any circumstances, you should consult an attorney.
