Can a defendant sue for lawyer fees in small claims court in Philadelphia? I am suing a small business owner for breach of contract for $3200. His lawyer sent me an email that if I procede they will seek lawyer fees from me. Thank you.

They can ask for attorney's fees, but that doesn't mean they will get it. They will need to show that your claim has no merit.
