Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

drugs found in repossessed vehicle

Recently my friends car was repossessed. He has not gotten his personal property but when he called to find out how to get it, the guy said he turned the drugs and paraphenalia that was in the car over to the police. My friend lent his car to his son and had no knowledge that any drugs were in the car. can he be arrested or searched? Can the police come to his house?

Re: drugs found in repossessed vehicle

It is possible that the police can arrest him and search his house. Once arrested it would be up to the jury or judge to determine if they believed that the drugs and paraphernalia were not his. Your friend may want to hire an attorney.
