Lying for a cause

Is it ethical for an attorney representing my company to insist that I lie to assist with winning a case?

OK, go ask anyone over the age of 6 if it is OK to lie under oath, and go with what they say.

In case the question is serious, the inquirer should have a little more info, although I understand the temptation to be glib.

Of course it's not ethical to ask a witness to lie under oath. Also, it's a felony, subornation of perjury.

Such conduct, assuming we're talking about outright lying and not grey areas of interpretation, should be reported to the Disciplinary Board.
