Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Repayment or return of gift

My girlfriend borrowed money from a relative to purchase a motorcycle. I feel due to a family squabble between the girlfriend and the relative they now want the bike or money that was borrowed returned. I have the bike and it is in my name with no lein. What is my legal right to return the money or the bike other then to maybe settle a family squabble. Please advise.

If the bike is in your name and there is no lien you own it. They will need to sue you to get it back.

Since the motorcycle is titled tn your name, it would seem that you can do whatever you want with it. Either give it to your family member, or sell it to pay off the debt. Perhaps the best thing, however, would be to settle the family squabble and arrange for your girlfriend to make timely payments to your relative.
