Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania
slander and defamation of character
I had met with conciliator for modification of visitation with ex. He made statements that were false about me and I feel that I was portrayed in a false setting. He stated that I have a mental disorder that I am being treated for, that I had excorcisms in my home, that i leave my children alone all day and that I have unresolved issues concerning being raped when I was 9 yrs old and that is why my 9 yr old is telling people she was molested because I told her to say it. All of this is false. Can you shed light to what I need to do and my rights???

Well what was the reaction of the concilator? More then likely he or she has heard such allegations before. So, unless he sees something to back them up such statements are taken with a grain of salt.
Further, such sessions are generally confidential so unless he is telling others then there is not much harm being done.
From what I can infer you ex is seeking to get or gain more visitation. If he is planning on using these statements in court papers then he will have to prove them.
