Legal Question in Immigration Law in Pennsylvania

Hello

I'm French (man) and my boyfriend live in Pennsylvania. I would like to live in the US with my boyfriend.

I know gay marriage is not allowed in PA but it's allowed in New Jersey and New-York.

I don't think getting married in this state can help me to have a green card but do you know another solution?

Thank you very much.

Kevin

Since, unfortunately, gay marriage is not recognized by federal (U.S.) law it does not matter where you get married, you will not be eligible to obtain a green card via your boyfriend/husband.

Your best option for obtaining a green card would be based on employment or by winning the lottery. If you had a parent or sibling who was a U.S. citizen they could sponsor you as well although you would have to wait several years for a visa to become available.
