Legal Question in Immigration Law in Pennsylvania

Hello

I am in a removal proceedings under section 240 of the immigration and Nationality Act. I applied for asylum and received a letter saying for notice to appear. What shall i do? What is the best thing to do at this point? Do i have a chance to be granted asylum or not?

Did you have an interview with asylum officer? Did they deny your application for asylum? If so, then your asylum case was referred to Immigration Court. It means that now the judge is going to schedule a hearing, hear your case and make a decision on your case. Yes, it can be approved.

It's advisable to have an attorney to review your case and repreesnt you in the court. You'll have at least few master calendar hearings and will need to prepare documents/brief/supporting for your merits hearing in front of the judge.
