Legal Question in Insurance Law in Pennsylvania

Insurance coverage changed without notification

I am co-employed by a PEO along with our company. Recently, a number of employees had their insurance coverage deductible increased to $7,500 from $750. We were not asked, nor were we notified of this change. The premuims we were paying never changed. We only found out by getting large bills from the Hospitals and Doctors.

Can a PEO or Underwriter change employees health care coverage without the employees knowledge? If they did, shouldn't the premiums have been adjusted to reflect this change?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Bill

Re: Insurance coverage changed without notification

what you describe is outrageous and could easily be the subject of a really nasty lawsuit against the people who did this and the company.

Go see a lawyer. get some legal advice.
