Legal Question in Insurance Law in Pennsylvania

Time Limit on Payment of Disability Insurance

I have been off on disability since December 2, 2000. I have not received any checks as of November 27, 2000. How long does an Insurance Company have to pay you your benefits?

Re: Time Limit on Payment of Disability Insurance

You don't mention what type of disability. Is this worker's compensation, private disability, or something else? Generally, if an insurance company has already accepted the claim and is prepared to voluntarily begin to issue payments, the company has a reasonable time to do so. That would probably mean about 2 to 4 weeks. Are you certain the insurance company has accepted the claim?
