Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Pennsylvania

Is it illegal to take a persons pictures off a social site such as myspace, facebook ect then make a fake profile with a made up name ? I am someone that helps girls that have had this done to them and many other people have made "fakefinder" profiles and they keep telling everyone that it is illegal something I disagree with.I know using a copy righted picture is illegal and using someones picture in some form of advertising is also illegal. Please clear this up so I can be sure I am right or wrong .thank you Debbie

As a Franchise Attorney I find it hard to believe you haven't heard of identity theft. There is also copyright infringement. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
