Legal Question in International Law in Pennsylvania

Do I have any rights over and/or legal protection for my tv show idea?

In 2005, I registered a television program proposal to the Writer's Guild of America Association and the registration is valid until 2010. In the proposal I developed in detail a tv talk show idea but as of yet, I have not been able to find resources to produce the show. Recently however, I've learned of a tv show already being aired that contains strikingly similar elements to my show. From my own research, I know that while my idea is not protected by law, the ''expression'' of the idea is. I think that the ''expression'' of my idea may have been duplicated (stolen). My question is: What are good questions and considerations that I should present to an intellectual lawyer to see if I can take action against the company that produced the show that's already airing?

All you need to do is present the facts and they'll know what to ask you, but go to someone who really knows this area of the law and pay them for their opinion, if you want an opinion that you can rely on.
