Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Pennsylvania

police

my 16 year old son was pulled over last night for no tail lights. then the police searched his car and found a water bottle with alcahole and a pot pipe in his car, both on the passanger side of his car. I know he does not smoke pot and he does not drink. the police did not write a ticket only a warning. but he wants me and my son to come to the police station tomorrow to talk to him about the situation. must we go? what are his legal rights? my son has offered to take a lie detector or any other tests in order to clear him. but I am confused and dont know how to proceed. my son says he does not know who is responsible. please advise.

Re: police

You need to get real about your son. He was pulled over, with pot AND alcohol in his car, he doesn't know whose it is, and he claims he doesn't use either? Unfortunately for your son, you are the only person who is going to believe that. The police won't.
