Here's the Law School answer: "It depends."

How old are you? Do you perceive some animosity based on national origin, religious, gender, or racial characteristics? Are you regarded as having a disability even if untrue? Had you exercised some right under some law which resulted in your being retailiated against?

Do you have a contract, either individually or as the result of a collective bargaining agreement? Is there a union organizing campaign taking place?

Law is not a black box into which one can reach for one answer to fit all people.

If any of the above factors ring true, consult with your local L&E, i.e., labor and employment law counsel.
