Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

I was firedby a megacorporation!Recourse??

November1997.I sought help for a personal problem (alcohol abuse)I did without my employers knowledge for extreme fear of retribution. My job: only about 1000 in the WORLD do it.I was terminated for ,I believe, absenteism.Unemployment compensation was denied by my ex-employer.Since this happened, despite sending out over 250 resumes I have not been able to find any FULL time employment.I have been in COMPLETE recovery since and for that I am greatful.I did recieve a written warning I admit. However I feel that, although this information is supposed to be confidential, some sort of "blacklisting" has occurred. If this sounds like "sour grapes"I'm sorry.I just wish to have a clearer picture as to whether I was treated appropriately.I got the feeling that they did NOT GIVE a lick what happens to their employees and I cannot stress it enough that I believed and FEARED that the slightest iota of honesty towards them would have resulted in my immediate termination as I was in the long run interfering with their bottom line.

Thanx for any consideration.

In some factual circumstances, alc. can be considered a "disability" under the ADA. However, the time for filing with the EEOC is very limited. When were you terminated?

In regards to potential blachlisting, any case would be extremely difficult to prove.
