Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

I found out that a male counterpart who was hired at the same time I was for the same position was paid $10k more in base salary than I was, but, he has less over all experience and lacks specific management experience. This person was fired 6 months into his employment. I am the top performer in my team (have my review, accolades, etc). Things have not been going well in this team due to new management and I feel I am targeted as I am the most senior member of this team. I had a meeting with my manager and decided it was time to let her know that I knew of the salary inequality (followed up with an email to my manager documenting the conversation which she did not respond to), should they terminate my employment after I provided this information is this cause for a lawsuit?
