Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

Landlord entered trailer

I live in trailer park. Got behind on rent due to illness and staying with friends at their home to recover. Manager of trailer park posted 30 day handwritten notice of eviction on door. Her husband broke into trailer and removed items. Can they evict me with handwritten notice and is it legal for them to enter my trailer and remove items?

Re: Landlord entered trailer

As to entering your trailer that would depend on what you lease says. Even if it did give them permission I doubt that they are entitled to take things without your permission. Have you contacted the police?

As to the eviction notice, being handwritten would not make it invalid, however, evictions are generally handled by filing with the district justice, which would have typed up an eviction notice. Note: Without seeing the lease and the eviction notice I can only make general answers. Once I get a look at these documents I could advise you further.

If I was in your position I would not delay contacting either myself or another lawyer.
