Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania

botched shoulder operation

About two years ago I was having such pain in my shoulder I couldn't even move it, my Dr advise I see a surgeon and get his opinion. I did and was advised I needed an opertion to correct the problem. Right after the operation I developed a severe infection in my shoulder joint. The pain now is worse then before. I had additonal x-rays taken and was advised my shoulder is in worse shape now then before. I contacted the surgeon that did the operation but he would not return my calls. I explained to his nurse the pain I was going thru and she advised that if I had any of the pain medication he had given me 2 years ago left over to try them, if not just try taking Tylenol. Nothing helped. I contacted another surgeon and advised I might need my shoulder socket replaced due to the previous operation. Do I have any recoarse against the first surgeon. I had contacted a mal practive attorney from the yellow pages and they advised I did not if there was a chance that the shoulder could be fixed. After two years of constant pain this just does not seem right. Can you please advise. Thank you

you very well may. The question is whether the surgeon did something wrong to cause you problem. In order to make that determination, I would need to see the medical records. Where did the surgery take place? If you are interested, I can discuss this with you in more detail. My Phila. office does work in Harrisburg. Let me know if I can help
