Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania

My fiance has a similar issue to this gauze left in her vagina, the doctor had to remove her placenta after the birth because it would not come on its own in doing so he left gauze inside of her, Causing a horrible smell and i would have to say an infection so a couple weeks after the birth with this problem she calls the obgyn whom was responsible for the birth and they tell her to go to the emergency room even though they were the ones for the after care well the smell at this point was almost gagging the doctor and humiliating the hell out of jamie my fiance and embarrassing the doc because this is also the hospital where she had the baby, the doc new they were liable and that she should probably take it up with her doctor. Its been 4 and half months do you think we should pursue?

I agree with Mr. Diamond. However, in deciding whether you should pursue the matter you should be aware damages your fianc has suffered are limited, particularly if the gauze was removed without need of anesthesia or surgery.
