Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

Bar altercation

I was involved in an incident at a local bar/nightclub in which 3 or 4 bouncers tackled me without warning or cause. When I attempted to defend myself I was beaten up pretty badly and thrown out. When leaving the parking lot of the bar, my friends overheard the bouncers telling another bouncer who was not working at the time to ''mess us up.'' The off duty bouncer picked a fight with my cousin and when I intervened I was tackled again by atleast 6-8 bouncers. I was punched and kicked in the head and back. My back was covered in scrapes, my nose was bleeding off and on for about a week, and the entire left side of my face was swollen and bruised very badly. There was nothing that needed any medical attention, but I took pictures of the injuries the next day. Later I found out that the bouncers tackled me because I had supposedly hit a girl. This was untrue, and I was never even asked about it at the time, I was simply tackled without warning as I said and I have 4 witnesses who saw the whole thing unfold. Numerous attempts to contact the owner have gone nowhere. If I were to sue, what kind of pain and suffering damages could I expect in a case like this? Would it be hard to get a judgement in my favor? Thanks in advance.

Re: Bar altercation

It is very difficult to say whether you have a case based upon your facts. Bar assault cases can be very difficult to win because you can be certain that each side's story is going to be drastically different, and the drinking at the bar will attack people's credibility. That being said, if your version of the facts is credible and you have witnesses to this effect, and you are not leaving out any damaging facts on your end, there may be a case we can help with. Feel free to contact us, and we may be able to help.
