First, do not accept any offer or sign a release unless you consult with an attorney. You may be be reliquishing or waiving certain rights. Second, in order to evaluate your claim, you should seek the advise of an experienced attorney. I offer free consultation if you wish to speak with me.

Re: car accident

I would have to review all of the available insurance coverage for all parties involved. You want to be able to maximize what your mother would be entitled to under all policies. That includes the insurance for the vehicle she was in, the other driver's and her own, if any. Do not sign anything until this matter is reviewed by an attorney.

I am very accessible and have several office locations and offer a free case evaluation.

Re: car accident

There are a number of potential sources of insurance coverage for this accident, depending on all of the facts. These include your mother's own insurance, as well as potentially that of any relative with whom she resides. If the accident occurred in the course of the workday, there may be workers compensation insurance available as well.

In addition to insurance, if the co-worker has any assets, those could be accessible as well. You need to seek the assistance of a law firm that handles both litigation and automobile insurance matters.

I would be happy to arrange a free in-office or telephone consultation for you at your earliest convenience. You may e-mail me at [email protected] or call me at 215.496.2904. We have offices in Willow Grove, Chestnut Hill, center city Philadelphia and Media, as well as Marlton, New Jersey and would be happy to help you with this. The most important advice I can give at the moment is that your mother should NOT sign any releases giving up any rights at all until such time as you have sought competent legal help.

Good luck.

Re: car accident

Hello, Scott. Your mother may be entitled to underinsured motorist coverage depending on whether she lives with a relative or husband who has that coverage. It's more complicated than that so if you want to discuss it, please call me 24/7. Thank you.
