Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

I was driving my truck uphill at 35mph when an underage no license boy of 16 was driving a motorcycle and lost control of his bike. He was ejected off his bike and came into my lane where I hit him. I didn't hit the bike. The police report indicates I was not at fault. I only had 10k in liability. I have no assets and a small savings account. Do I have anything to worry about like civil suits? I don't have money for legal bills right now.

While I cannot guarantee you will not be sued, it does not appear from your description a lawsuit is likely as it does not appear that you have any fault. If the injuries to the boy are severe, an enterprising lawyer may try to fashion some argument that you are a fault. However, with $10k in coverage, and no assets, it is not going to be the type of case that such a lawyer is likely to pursue farther than seeking the policy limits. Becasue you have no assets, a judgment in excess of the policy limits would be of little value. You do not have to worry about legal bills. Your insurance carreir will provide you with a defense. Just make sure that you have reported the accident to your insurance carrier and make sure they know you weere not at fault.

This answer to your legal inquiry is based upon the limited facts stated in your question. Accurate legal advice is based upon an exchange between a lawyer and a client. The lawyer can then ask about other facts that may change or confirm the answer. Without that exchange, this reply should be considered limited in value. You should rely on this answer only at your own risk. Direct consultation with a lawyer is always recommended. Answering your question does not create an attorney-client relationship.
