Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

Lawsuit and annuity

I settled on a lawsuit for my son in 1996. The settlement was put in a annuity with the 1st payout to be when he becomes 21 yrs old. His birthday is in 2 weeks. Is the Company that holds the annuity suppose to get a hold of him? Does anyone know where I can get in touch with SAFCO Ins. (SAFCO Assigned Benefits Company)? Should the lawyer that settled the suit still be responsiible in helping me find this information? Thank for all your help.

Re: Lawsuit and annuity

I would contact the attorney who handled the matter to answer your questions. I would also review the settlement agreement. Usually there is some order which speaks to the money since your son was a minor I would check the wording of the Order. If you need further help after exhausting these suggestions you could contact an attorney to help you with the issue.
