Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

Lawsuit against uninsured motorist Injury involved

my 20 year old son hit a elderly woman last year while she was crossing the street. she did suffer injuries and now is a resident of a nursing home,he was driving suspended, uninsured.

We were served with papers, question, I has signed a waiver with my insurance company,he does not drive my vehicles, can they turn around and sue me/my insurance company?.also, why sue a 20 year old who has no assets??

thank you

Re: Lawsuit against uninsured motorist Injury involved

If you allowed your son to drive your car knowing he was unlicensed & uninsured you may be found liable. Also, if there is a judgment against your son which remains unpaid PennDot will not renew his license.
