Legal Question in Personal Injury in Pennsylvania

Is there a limit to amount of time that one could sue a tobacco company for my mother dying from cancer from cigarette smoking? I think about it all the time. She passed away 10 years ago from cancer of the tonsils. The death cert says smoking was the factor and she smoked 3 1/2 packs a day and started when she was 14. She was 78 when she passed. If I could, I would give all the money to charity. It just irks me. She even set her hair and blankets on fire near the end. Now I worry about the later effects of 2nd hand smoke. Thanks!

its likely too late to do anything. There is something called a statute of limitations which governs the time frame that you have in which to file a lawsuit. 10 years is beyond any statute of limitations that I am aware of.
