Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

i was defrauded into quit claim deeding my property to a family friend, not knowing the seriousness and believing she would have the property sold. Its been 3 years the mortgage has not been paid which she promised to do until it was sold, and she is no where to be found. Is it worth trying to obtain an attorney if she cant be found, and should I just wait for the mortgage company to foreclose on the property

What's your goal? are you hoping to get back the property? The bank's foreclosure won't accomplish that.

If you sue to get title back, you would have to prove the fraud. Were you expecting to receive money from the sale if she sold the property?

This sounds like a very confused transaction.

You may want to consult a lawyer to find out what options you have. That would help you decide if it's worth it. No one else can make that decision for you.

THIS RESPONSE IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE, SINCE I DO NOT HAVE ALL OF THE INFORMATION THAT WOULD BE REQUIRED, AND I DO NOT HAVE A REPRESENTATION AGREEMENT WITH YOU.

* If the answers to your question confirm that you have a valid issue or worthwhile claim, your next step should almost always be to establish a dialog with a lawyer who can provide specific advice to you. Contact a lawyer in your county or township.

* Another reason for contacting a lawyer is that it is often impossible to give a good answer in the Internet Q&A format without having more information. The unique circumstances of your situation and things that you may not have thought to mention in your question may completely change the answer. If you want to be sure that you have a complete answer to your question and an understanding of what that answer means, establish a connection with a lawyer who practices in the area of your concern.
