I am considering a purchase of a property (acrage), this property's owner has several liens against him. Can I purchase this property without these liens? Do they stay with the owner?

As part of the process the owner needs to pay off these liens. Otherwise they may cloud your title to the land.

If the mount being paid doesn't payoff the liens or he can't pay them pre-settlement. Run don't walk away.
