rent to own a home

Grandmother is selling me her house and 2 acres of land with a 2 car garage. I will be renting it to own.She will be living there with me.What part of exspences do i have to pay for? like property taxes, new roof, new heating system ? electric, phone, garbage i think should be 1/2....also what would happen if she would die, say a year after we were into this.do i have to come up with the balance of the money right then and there? this is all family but very jealous type people. thank you

Even if your family were not jealous, all of the details that you ask about should be discussed by you and your grandmother, and should be spelled out in a written agreement between you.

You should consult a real estate attorney to assist you in writing such an agreement and to also advise you about other issues you should include.
