Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Pennsylvania

Can I seceed from a community association?

I live in the Poconos where 80% of the homes, mine included, are part of a community association. Is there a way to leave the community? My house is on a township road (rather than a private road) and the mail is delivered directly to my house. I get absolutely no benefit from my community dues and would therefore like to save that money. Any chance for me?

Thanks.

It is difficult to answer without a review the documents that created the association. Ordinarily, I would anticipate that you can not eliminate your ties to the association. I would be happy to review the documents for a small fee. Gerald Hershenson 215-579-9390
