Legal Question in Tax Law in Pennsylvania

IRS lien

i am facing an IRS lien for personal income taxes. I won a business that employs other individuals; it is an S-corp. Is that business subject to being seized by the IRS? the corporation taxes are in the clear.

Re: IRS lien

Unfortunately, if the IRS wants to levy on the outstanding amount, you may actually have problems with the business if you are the sole owner. They will make every attempt to "pierce the corporate veil" even though the business taxes are fine, since their position is that you and the business are effectively "one and the same."

However, as long as they haven't levied yet, it sounds like your case can be worked out (and no, I'm not talking about the "settle for pennies on the dollar" scam that has been going arount).
