Legal Question in Traffic Law in Pennsylvania

I received a speeding ticket in New Jersey. I live and have a PA license. I was ticketed for going 15-19 MPH over the limit. If I pay the fine, will I get points on my PA Insurance?

According to the PennDot Driver License Compact Fact Sheet:

"Although reported to PennDOT, minor traffic offenses such as speeding, red light, stop sign, etc., will(NOT) appear on your driving record, unless you are a CDL holder. Points will not be assessed to your PA driving record when convicted of a point related offense in a DLC member state."

If you have a CDL or points are of real concern to you and you want to be extra cautious, hire an attorney experienced in New Jersey Municipal Court practice to attempt to negotiate a lower speed, 5 mph over, or a 0 point ticket.

You should defend the case with a lawyer in court--there can be insurance consequences ---

I am licensed in both states and would be happy to help.
