Re: Vehicle registration expired

You asked about a ticket for expired registration.

Who was responsible for the vehicle when ticketed? Who's license got pulled when they ignored the ticket? Now, who's responsible for the ticket?

Maybe your father should take the car and see if you can be responsible for your own support?

Re: Vehicle registration expired

Since you respnded to the ticket, you are responsible for the fine. Your problem is that you should have plead "not guilty" and requested a hearing. At which time, you would have explained it's not your car and potentially would have been found not guilty resulting in NO fines, etc.

Your best hope is to hire an experienced traffic attorney to attempt to file a summary appeal, if you are within 30 days of the convcition date or a Petition Nunc Pro Tunc Summary Appeal (permission to file appeal late due to breakdown in the system).

Lastly, request an ability to pay hearing from the DJ and ask that they restore your license pending your payments. Then, you iwll only have to pay a $25 restoration fee to be driving legal again.

Good luck--call with questions.
