Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Delayed estate closing

My sister and I are executors of our mother's estate, who passed away 21 months ago. The assets will be distributed between another sister and the two of us. Everything is done except the distribution of the assets. The other sister is refusing to sign the asset distribution documents so we can finally finish the process. What can we, as executors, do to close the estate?

Re: Delayed estate closing

If your sister refuses to sign the family settlement agreement, you will have to file a formal account with the court. She will then be given a chance to object to the distribution. If she fails to do so, the court will order the distribution as requested.
