Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Error on will

My will states that when I die everything is left to me instead of my husband. I was typed incorrectly 16 years ago, and I just realized it now. Will this cause a problem?

Re: Error on will

Yes, this error would cause a problem if you don't correct it before death. However, in light of the fact that your Will is 16 years old, it really should be updated anyhow to reflect your life changes.

If you e-mail me your telephone number, I will be happy to explain some of the changes that may have occurred that would affect the way you wish to dispose of your estate.

Also, in the past 16 years, there have been a number of other documents developed that should be drafted in order to have your estate planning complete.

By the way, if you are a member of AARP, I can do these documents for you at a discounted rate.

I look forward to speaking with you.
