An Administratrix is the person who will be in charge of seeing that a deceased person's estate assets are distributed in accordance with Pennsylvania law. Same duties as those of an Executor/Executrix under a Last Will and Testament, but is indicative of the fact that the person who died did so without a Will.

Administratrix will have to be sworn in and appointed to the position by the Register of Wills Office located in the County where the person passed away. Probate is a very formal procedural process. Although not a requirement, typically Executors or Administrators will generally retain an attorney to take them through the process. Unless your background is in law or accounting, the process can be fairly daunting. A number of things will need to be done and they will need to be done in a regimented time fram.
